Did you try VRBO? Maybe you can find something through this site. I stayed once on Upper Saranac at a friend's camp and once at a little house on Lake Clear. We found the house at the last minute and we went in August.

Have fun. That is one of the most beautiful spots on earth.

My favorite place is, of course, my home town of Lake Placid. Not only is it lovely, thereâÂÂs just so much to do there, hiking, swimming, biking, mountain climbing, boating, visiting all the Olympic venues, and great dining, too! WeâÂÂre going up for a week in August and I canâÂÂt wait! We found our house rental though VRBO, as most of the hotels/motels are booked, and my whole family is going.
