I think they both are the same thing except the first has been described in a more detailed and elaborate way. So that would be two nouns ;)

I agree that both definitions above are nouns. The attribute is a thing such as size and shape or color. But color is also a verb....you color a coloring book....color my world....

But then again size can also be a verb as in sizing someone up, as can shape as in shaping the sculpture.

I think they are both nouns. A verb is an action word usually with the word *to* in front of it in it's basic form. i.e. I am going to colour that picture or I am colouring that picture. Those are verbs.

Or colour can also be an adjective or describing word, as in a colour television.

It's a perceived attribute, so it's a noun.

But opinions are "colored by" , so it's a verb there.
