I think that is what you mean. I have central vac and it is a PITA compared to this thing and we need to keep up after messy little kids eating every day besides the three cats.

This weekend I decided to see if we can get an extra battery to see if we can always have one on the charger. We have had it for 6 months though and it really hasn't been a problem.

I have one that's similar to Boopadaboo's. It gets used daily to keep the kitchen floor crumb-free. It's a little awkward to use on my stairs, but certainly more convenient than the big vacuum.

Thanks for the recommendations. I've actually tested out the Electrolux model at Sears (where they want $150.00 for it). We don't have a Costco where I live, but I think my brother might have one where he lives. I'll try to find the others locally to test those, too.

We are in the market for a new one too. We have the Electrolux Rapido Lyban referenced. It's been a pretty good little vac for 2 years, but just has no oomph anymore. I was i a vacuum store recently, and got into a discussion about stick vacs with the manager. He showed me the Spiffy Maid which is made by Fuller Brush. Turned that one upside down and let me feel the suction as compared to all the others named here and many more. Wow -much, much more suction. Has to do with the size of something blah, blah, blah -I didn't really pay attention. The only negative (for me) is that it has a cord. But really, really great suction. It also has a neat little feature. The crevice tool snaps into place down by the head so that you can run it along your baseboards and really get it clean.
