My dw is pretty much the same -- cute, quiet and small capacity.I love it and would never go back to my old one that sounded like a truck driving idling in the kitchen.

No, it's a Miele. I now have buyers remorse... I was looking at a different model that was more expensive but has a fantastic feature--- an 11 minute wash cycle. But the delivery time was over a month, they had a floor model that had just been discontinued and could be delivered the next day, and the rest is history. Now that I have a much smaller capacity I could really use that fast cycle. My new washer has a two hour cycle :-( so after a big dinner we will be washing dishes for a half day.

Can it be returned?

I have two Miele DWs and I agree with the small capacity and long cycles. However, having two of them makes it a non-issue.

I have the 11 minute cycle but it's not a wash cycle, just rinse & hold. The fastest wash cycle is 72 minutes.

My main reason for going with Miele was due to their virtually silent operation.

I would try to return it if you are that unhappy.

It cannot be returned because it was a floor sample, and because of the configuration of our kitchen we don't have room for another full size dishwasher. If I could find a narrower one I could replace the trash compactor, but it's a strange width. :-(

I just purchased a Kenmore Elite dw that is sooooo quiet, plus it has a delayed start button that I love. And, it's as big as my old dw...

It's actually fun to load up this dishwasher these days--at least for the time being...
