I tried on the maidenform WYOB and I loved that it smoothed my lower back. But I 'd rather not add another pair of straps to manage under my skinny-strap dress, and wouldn't a bra band counteract the smoothing? ( I can't say for sure because I wore a camisole to the store to try on.) Slip really provided all the bust lift I need, so I really wouldn't need the added shaping of a bra, but I have to have something there or I won't be comfortable.

Is back smoothing a special feature with underbust slips?

Do those high half-slips work? I didn't think to try one until I got home and started looking on line.

None of the no-bra-required slips I tried, including flexees and spanx and maidenform, had the same rear-rib smoothing effect - they just compressed the soft bulges into more clearly defined rolls.

I need one with skinny straps, and I am very short between my waist and underbust.

Do you have a suggestion?
