It's up to us to keep lynninnewmexico's mind off her pain, so let's see what we can find for her to read or watch.

I'll start with a youtube video of a bird dancing to Ray Charles "Shake Your Tail Feathers."

Awwww, you all are so kind . . . and thoughtful . . . and funny! I've just gotten up from a nap. DH is making us dinner. I'm going to sit down and watch them after that. Love it!!!

RE: For Lynn's amusement

Bestyears, I hadn't seen that one before. The raging against the machines is one thing, but the violence against the office mates is something else. What was surprising to me was how many of the office mates did nothing. They just stood and watched...no one tried to talk to the person or calm them down.

The other thing was, how many offices have security cameras and tape everything the employees do? Our office sure didn't and I sure wouldn't feel comfortable if every move I made was being recorded....

RE: For Lynn's amusement

Then there are the Simon's Cat videos....

And if you don't mind some bad language or sexual situations, the series of "Old Jews Telling Jokes" are very funny. There are many, many on line, but this is one of my favorites.

I still get a kick out of this one....glad you're on the mend Lynn.

RE: For Lynn's amusement

Oh my gosh, these are so great!

I am a huge lover of birds and loved the Youtube video of Frostie dancing to Ray Charles. After that, I watched a few other bird clips. So funny! Isn't it amazing how much natural rhythm they have? Thank you Graywings!

Bestyears, that clip is so darn funny! I especially liked the two where the young women get bopped. I know, sick, right? Still, I can relate to their feelings of utter frustration with a piece of office equipment, a computer or a coworker. It's funny to see people actually acting on it, though. Although hurting someone is going too far. Still, the clip did have me LMAO. Enough so that DH came back to see if I was ok.
Can't wait to watch more tomorrow.

Lynn,
I'm so glad you found it as funny as I do. As Annie mentioned, there are some real issues with it -people just standing around acting like nothing is happening, personal safety, etc. And yet, ohmygosh, it CRACKS ME UP!!!!

Long, but funny!

TWO COWS ~"Matthias Varga"

SOCIALISM
You have 2 cows.
You give one to your neighbour

COMMUNISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and gives you some milk

FASCISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and sells you some milk

NAZISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and shoots you

BUREAUCRATISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other, and then
throws the milk away

TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies, and the economy
grows.
You sell them and retire on the income

ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND (VENTURE) CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by
your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute a debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption
for five cows.
The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island Company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company.
The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on one more. You sell one cow to buy a new president of the United States , leaving you with nine cows. No balance sheet provided with the release.
The public then buys your bull.

SURREALISM
You have two giraffes.
The government requires you to take harmonica lessons.

AN AMERICAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one, and force the other to
produce the milk of four cows.
Later, you hire a consultant to analyse why
the cow has dropped dead.

A GREEK CORPORATION
You have two cows. You borrow lots of euros to build barns, milking sheds, hay stores, feed sheds,
dairies, cold stores, abattoir, cheese unit and packing sheds.
You still only have two cows.

A FRENCH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You go on strike, organise a riot, and block the roads, because you want three
cows.

A JAPANESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce
twenty times the milk.
You then create a clever cow cartoon image called a Cowkimona and
market it worldwide.

AN ITALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows,
but you don't know where they are.
You decide to have lunch.

A SWISS CORPORATION
You have 5000 cows. None of them belong to you.
You charge the owners for storing them.

A CHINESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You have 300 people milking them.
You claim that you have full employment, and high bovine productivity.
You arrest the newsman who reported the real situation.

AN INDIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You worship them.

A BRITISH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Both are mad.

AN IRAQI CORPORATION
Everyone thinks you have lots of cows.
You tell them that you have none.
No-one believes you, so they bomb the ** out of you and invade your country.
You still have no cows, but at least you are now a Democracy.

AN AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Business seems pretty good.
You close the office and go for a few beers to celebrate.

A NEW ZEALAND CORPORATION
You have two cows.
The one on the left looks very attractive..

Cat Mom: both my furkids came running to see why I was howling . . . howling hysterically with laughter at the Two Cows Saga. LOVE it!!! I'm copying and printing it out to reread and read to DH, DD and DS. Thank you so much for taking the time to type that all out. You made my day.
Now to watch some more of the video clips posted here.

RE: For Lynn's amusement

ok, This is not going to be the right way to tell it, but maybe it will make you chuckle...

Two golf buddies who are very good friends are together when the one is dying. The dying man is asked to please come back and give a sign if there is golf in Heaven.

After he passes, his ghost comes back to see his friend.

He tells him "I have good news and I have bad news"

"Wow, give me the good news!"

"There is Golf in Heaven"

"That's fantastic. What's the bad news?"

"You're in our foursome this weekend".

Hope you're feeling better Lynn!

RE: For Lynn's amusement

Confession--I didn't type it! Just cut and pasted from DH's FB. Someone (my cousin?) had posted it, and I thought it might take your mind off your boo-boo hand at least while you read it!

So glad you enjoyed it!!!!!

RE: For Lynn's amusement

Graywings what an awesome idea to entertain Lynn while she's healing. Fun for all of us.

I can't help but watch this video a few times each time some post it on fb. No one can tell me cats don't have facial expressions. This is most definitely is getting his point across once he has the hat on of "there are you happy now?"

Bee: LOVE that joke! DH has played golf every Wednesday forever and I know that he'll appreciate it and look forward to telling it to his foursome next week.
Thanks!

Blfenton: that is so funny! Do cats really do that? Those poor dogs definitely knew who was the alpha animals in their families. Such a CUTE video collage!

 o
RE: For Lynn's amusement

OMG, Justgotabme, that is so cute! I'm amazed that this kitty actually worked to get it on him/herself . . . and then did! That expression afterwards is priceless!

RE: For Lynn's amusement

Maire cate: that is so funny! This guy has done a hilarious job imagining what they might be thinking. Thank you!

Annie: have watched the Russian flash mob clip - wonderful! That bride was so cute, too. Also have seen several of the "Simon's Cat" clips. Funny! Love, love, love the "Mailman vs The Cat" Hysterical! OK, I've got to go back and watch it yet again!

 o
RE: For Lynn's amusement

I've had a number of cats all my life and I have never, ever, seen a cat put a hat on themselves.

 o
RE: For Lynn's amusement

Fun2BHere: what a happy, happy video! No one could possibly watch that and not be singing and dancing and happy right along with it. I was and loved it! I've watched it several times already.

RE: For Lynn's amusement

Joanie, I LOVE that clip!!! I saw it on the Today Show when it first came out and laughed and cried happy tears then. So glad to have seen it again. Same response. How loving, and funny and romantic of that guy! Am saving it to watch more and to share it. Thanks!

P.S. Sorry to have posted many separate thank yous to you all but I need to rest my hand in between posts.

RE: For Lynn's amusement
