| AFter two days, five binders and 3 plastic storage containers I think my cross-stitch stuff is finally organized. I truly need a 12 step program. Anyway, Here's my question. What ever happen to the magazine Cross Stitch & Country Crafts? I think it was from Better Homes and Gardens. That was a great Magazine and I don't see it anymore. Anyone know if it's still out there but under another name? Thanks and Happy Turkey Day!!! |

| I agree with you about that being a great magazine. Last I knew it is now "Cross Stitch & Needlework". Haven't shopped for any magazines lately as I have enough "Wannados" to last me at least 3 lifetimes!!! Hope this helps. |

from Cross stitch and country crafts magazine sep-oct 1992
and jan-feb 1993. I have the second pattern from nov-dec 1992 but there is a series of 3. Even if I could by those

| Cross Stitch and Country Crafts was first published in Sept/Oct of 1985. Later on it became Cross Stitch and Needlework, and then Better Homes and Gardens Cross Stitch and Needlework. The final issue was in July/Aug of 2000. Better Homes and Gardens still publishes Better Homes and Gardens Cross Stitch Christmas that you can usually find in July of every year. In 2002 they had another in the series of Heirloom stockings that had appeared in the original magazines, and have recently posted on their message board that they will be developing more of these Heirloom stockings in the future. | CS&CC was sold to BH&G and bcm Cross St and Nwk. (The original CS&CC staff refused to move to Des Moines. They stayed behind and started TREASURES IN NWK. That folded, and then they started THE NEEDLEWORKER. TNW was subsequently sold to PIECEWORK, a general nwk magazine (smocking, etc. inclu). Anyway, BH&G stopped pub of CS&N (low circulation, I guess), but they still publish periodically. Usu a Chr collection. They bought the rights to all those wonderful Sandy Orton Chr. stockings, for example. CROSS QUIK was put out by the CS&CC people, and BH&G got the rights to all those patterns, too.

| I am looking for the Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine from the mid 80's which had the pattern for the Twelve Days of Christmas tree skirt. There are some other issues I am looking for, but would like to get hold of that one first if anyone has a reasonably in good condition issue they would be willing to part with. Thanks! |

Hi. I am looking for one of the Cross Stitch and Country Crafts issues. The hard part is I dont have the magazine anymore to know which issue I need. I started doing the Amish Farm - which was three pictures in three issues. I completed the two 'smaller' pictures (they all go together to make one farm - the 'center' picture is larger, then the two 'smaller' ones go one on each side of the larger one.). I had the magazines to do the third one (I made the first two back in the ?early 90s? when they were 'new' but then had problems with my hands and never finished the third). I passed the magazines on to someone to do that third one for me, only I have learned she 'no longer has the magazines or my started project or my floss'. I am so hoping someone knows what I am talking about and knows where I might get that third magazine to do that third picture... I cannot be sure, but it seems one was a May/June issue? and I believe one was a July/August? Thanks for any help anyone can provide me in this endeavor.

I am willing to trade for a copy of the May/June 1988 issue. I am looking for a copy of an apple family tree and I think that the pattern is in this issue. Did you ever receive the pattern for the Pennsylvania Barn?
I found it in the Nov/Dec 1962 issue. The first barn was in the Sept/Oct 1962 issu and was the Midwest Barn. The third was the Western Barn and appeared in the Jan/Feb 1993 issue. If you still need it, email me at dormidor@comcast.net. I can scan it and email to you. |

I have been doing a cross Stitch for my grand daughter and misplaced the issue I was working from. I think it was the
May/June 1993. It was an ornate pattern of the four letters L O V E in purples and blues. Does anyone have that issue? If so, could you see if that pattern is in the book. If you could scan it and email it, I would be thrilled. Thank you. My email is dormidor@comcast.net. |

heirloom stockings

I started the Heirloom stockings in 1986 when I was on bedrest with my first set of twins. I completed the the 1985 and 1986 stockings way back then. I next had a set of twin girls and never made their stockings :( Now they have one year left at home and I am scurrying to get theirs finished. I have one left to make and after looking at the covers of the out of print magazines online, I think I want it to be either the Jul/Aug 95 or the Jul/Aug 96 stocking. Does anyone have either of those issues?

After my last post I received hundreds of requests for copies of cross-stitching patterns and I am sad to say that although I am excited to share these beautiful projects with all of you I am afraid my expenses are adding up.
If you need copies of magazines and/or charts please send me an email with your request and an offer for payment. I will mail color copies to you.

They were published in the CS&CC Mar/Apr 87 (Hanging Quilts) and May/June 87 (Tending the Garden). If you can copy them for me I would be happy to pay for them, as well as postage, as they have been impossible to find. Hi all. I am looking for a particular pattern out of the Jul/Aug 89 issue of CS&CC magazine. There is the 3rd pattern called Collecting Shells that I need to complete the series (#1 was called Setting Sail and #2 is called Sand Castles).

| I am looking for the Toys and Games Christmas stocking pattern from the Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine. It is a boy's bedroom with shelves filled with toys and games. I have the Better Homes and Garden book with the nine stocking patterns, but I find the original pattern in the magazine gives greater detail, as in the stocking outline, etc. If you can help me locate this pattern, I'd be very grateful. | I have the all issues of Cross Stitch & Country Crafts from the Premier Issue thru 1993, all in mint condition, tho some have my old mailing label on the cover. This includes all the Christmas stocking issues thru 1993. I may even have issues beyond 1993, I haven't looked thru all my old boxes yet. | I have 31 issues that I need to pass on to someone who would use them. From the Premier Issue Sept/Oct 85 to Nov/Dec 90. For some reason I do not have the Nov/Dec 85 (kneeling Santa ) issue. I also have the premier issue of Cross Quick Aug/Sept 88.You can have them for what it costs to mail them. looking for noel pattern from hardback book

I am looking for a NOEL pattern that I started YEARS ago. It was done on perforated cross stitch paper. I have the N and part of the O finished, but I can't find the pattern to finish it.
If I remember correctly, it was in a HARDBACK book, possible a compilation of Cross Stitch & Country Crafts designs. Unfortunately, the box in our storage building with my craft books got taken to the goodwill by my dh. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

| I am looking for a pattern for a flower wreath from Cross Stitch that I am half way through - possibly from 1992 or 1993 - 3 moves later I have the project and floss but not the magazine!The flowers are pink, yellow and blue with a blue and white ribbon threaded through the wreath. |

| What a wonderful magazine it was--so many great things to make and dream of making! I'm looking for a pattern that was in an issue before 1987. It had flowers and leaves that were shades of purple and green and I think there may be been something gold colored in it. I made it into a wedding sampler and it was beautiful. Does anyone know what issue this was in? I'd love to make it again but can't find the issue in my collection. Thanks so much!! |

| I have a project all stitched but I need a couple of charms that I could not find at my local store. The project is out of the May/June 1993 issue. It is titled In Charming Style the pattern is on page 31. I need the Pineapple, the cut out heart and the solid heart. I have a heart that will work for the flat heart, I would like the correct one but what I have will be OK if I can not find anything better. Thank you in advance if anyone can help me. |

My late sister and I did over 500 of the victorian cross stitch dolls and I lost the pattern this past March in a fire and cannot find a replacement.
