Cross-Stitching

Help with 1/4 stitch

Hi all. I usually hang out at the Kitchen Table, but I came over to ask a question. I picked up a cross stitch project that I had put down years ago. I'm about 2/3rds done, so I'm anxious to finish. But it calls for 1/4 stitch, and it's been so long since I've done it, I don't remember how to do it. Can anyone help?

If you have not gotten a response, most of the patterns would give an example.

If you are working over one thread, the fabric is stabbed in the center of the fabric. If there is a back stitch that follows the 1/4 stitch, then that will complete the stitch.
