County fair cross stitch afghan--picture

Hi Cross-stitchers,

I don't post or lurk here and don't even do cross stitch, but I saw this afghan at our county fair and thought it was really neat. Maybe y'all will enjoy looking at it. If I'm not mistaken, I think the squares were all crocheted the same, but different colors, and then the cross stitch work was done on each square. The cross stitcher got "Best of Show."

Interesting the way people interpret things, isn't it? I do counted cross-stitch, but the crocheting part would send me off the deep end!! Really nice work whoever did it, thanks for the picture.
