My son spilled coffee on the bottom of my fabric. None seems to be on the threads. The fabric is a greyish color. (lavender and laces' fairy grandmother)I have it soaking in cold water. Will it stain? If so how would I get it out? Any advice would be wonderful as I am halfways thruogh finishing it.
Thanks
Tara

RE: help!!!

I always wash my projects by just tossing them in the washer with a non-bleach load. I've never had coffee stain any of my other clothes. I would add it to a load of laundry you are doing. It should come out just fine.

Tara,
I've never washed my projects before, partly cause I've never finished one, lol. Anyways when I do my normal wash I use a product called "spray and wash" I've had it take out blood so it should work on coffee, there is a stain stick and liquid, I think the liquid would be the best bet.

You have it soaking in cold water now and got the stain before it dried--remember to air dry the piece or the heat may set the stain. With luck this may turn out to be extra fabric you trim later, or get creative and add a border or decorative stitch around the whole piece to hide the stain.
