I'm cross stitching a bird sitting on a limb. Should I be stitching the limb first and then the bird's claws second? Using this idea with the entire piece. For instance, there are pine needles with puffs of snow on top of the needles. Shouldn't I stitch the needles first and the snow second. Hope I make sense. Thanks

Sounds like an organized plan to not count stitches wrong.

I would stitch working back to front, so that the snow will look like it is ON the branch. Salena
