Hi, New to here, Have a problem you might be able to help

I goofed on a pattern and didn't mark the center correctly. Now I am more than three quarters done, and find that I am going to be really short at the top. I will have only about 1/4 of an inch left for a borber. I was wondering if it would work to add some material to the top and then diguise it with some kind of sky accent to it? Any help would be great. Thank you

Can you use it as an inset in a pillow? Do you sew? I think you should plan on equal distance between the design and the fabric for top, bottom and sides. Its going to look strange if the top is truncated and the other margins are larger.
