I am also searching for the Old Macdonalds farm pattern. I had it and made a very beautiful stitching for my niece, and now I can no longer find the pattern.

Is the chart you are looking for from Cross Stitch & Country Crafts Magazine? There was a pattern of the same title in the May/June 1986 issue.

I purchased this as a kit from a craft store so I don't know if it's the same pattern or not. The design was split up into blocks that contained the different animals. The border of the squares was done in blue.
