I just got my hands on some Monaco Fabric 28 ct. I was wondering is this stitched on like linen?? it looks similar but I've never worked on anything but Adia.

Yes, Monaco is an evenweave. It's like linen, but it is so much better. All the threads are the same size, no slubs like in linen. It also has more body or thickness to it. I ablosutely love it.

I stitch all the EMS animal babies on it. When I restitch Cape Hatteras by Stoney Creed, I'll do it on evenweave.

Thank you for your reply. I want to do Spring Faerie By Teresa Wentzler and its my first project on linen, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't screwing something up. One thing I've noticed since trying to find linen in my city is that no fabric store I've been to sells linen, they sell cotton that looks like linen (the print looks like linen but the weave isn't there) but you can't stitch on it for cross stitch.

I'm looking for some Monaco fabric in light blue or light green. I found it at ABC for $4.20, but the shipping was $7.95! Can anyone suggest a good place to shop reasonably?
Thanks,
Judy
