Remember it ? Do they still make it ? It was made to make silk flowers look like porcelain . I don't remember if you dipped the silk flower or painted it on . I'm making a mosaic and instead of buying pre-made ceramic roses - I thought I'd try stiffening up my little silk ones. If this product is discontinued ...is there another way to make small silk flowers stiff and look like porcelain ?

Nail polish? I wish I was going to my home town soon, there is a fabric store that has some ancient discontinued things. I'll look for petal porcelain next time I'm there, possibly next week. Depends on how much mom has for me to do because it is rather out of the way. Kathy

I'd forgotten about it. Did you do a Google search?

Yes, it is still sold. If you google "petal porcelain plaid" it comes right up.
Here is a link that might be useful: Sold here-

It says it's no longer available at Herschners . (below the picture ) That's what every site says . I 'm thinking it's discontinued - or - replaced with something else.

Oh, I can't believe I didn't see that. Sorry! I did some more investigating and I think you're right, it's not even on the Plaid home page when I did a search there. I mean, info comes up, but I can't find it in their products. Sorry to get your hopes up! In all the descriptions I read, they make it sound like a super-stiffener. I wonder if just using Stiffy the same way would work? Or maybe you can find it in a store, still on the shelf.
