My sister bought these cut up quilt pieces at a yard sale. I made some into Christmas Tree shapes and added vintage rick rack, and buttons and a wooden spool.

Kudzu, you are just a crafting diva these days! I just went over to read more on your blog, you sure sound like you are having fun with all your projects. I loved the little snowmen, and I liked how your hat looked on it. These little trees are cute, will they go on your tree or as package tie ons? TFS Luvs

RE: Old Quilt Pieces Christmas Trees

Thanks Luvs! Glad you liked them :D The trees are sitting together on my reproduction radio, but they'd make cute tie ons or ornaments. If I made more for tie-ons, I probably would just have the single quilt layer, or the back layer would be plain muslin. I'd like to find something for a star.

RE: Old Quilt Pieces Christmas Trees

I really like them. you did a nice job decorating them, garland really looks great! Jan

RE: Old Quilt Pieces Christmas Trees

You could use a star shaped buttons. I have seen some really small ones or the little teeny wooden star that you paint. Where did you get pattern for tree? I really like the shape of it.

RE: Old Quilt Pieces Christmas Trees

Thanks ya'll! I made the pattern, the quilt pieces were cut into heart shapes when my sister bought them for me, so I just made a tree pattern from that. I was thinking of star shaped buttons, but I didn't have any. I could go buy some:D I have some heart shaped beads, pink or blue, but I didn't like them. I want to make angels from the hearts, too. I have a collection of doilies and hankies, and wings I bought at a yard sale. My scanner/printer broke down,I'll offer it free on my blog as soon as I'm able.
