For those of you who knit, I need some recommendations on how to get started. I bought some yarn and size 8 needles and I've watched a couple of how to videos online. I think I've successfuly figured out how to cast on using the long tail method. And I'm trying to learn the continental knit stitch. I was wondering if you knitters think the continental stitch is the way to go? It seems awkward to me and I'm having trouble picking it up. Is the English method better? Also, is there a certain website or book that seems to be the best regarding learning to stitch? Any advice on getting started would be appreciated. Thanks.
