Ideas needed for ornaments, etc?

Posted by susie_bird (My Page) on

I received a large quantity of beautiful 4" wide sheer organza ribbon. I have numerous colors ranging from gold and platinum to teal, green, burgundy...Now what the heck can I make out of it? I do craft sales. I have a Christmas Boutique in my home every year. I was thinking of some sort of angel ornament or possibly wine cozies or something for glasses or bottles. But does anyone have any other ideas? I sew, and I'm a whiz with a glue gun!

Thanks!

What about some barrettes for girls. Look up ribbon flowers and lollipop flowers for a couple of basic flower designs. Your ribbon is a bit wide for most uses. I think if you experiment a bit you could come up with something. Really big, overstated barrettes seem to be popular for special occasions.

How about taking a small Christmas ball ornament, plain colored or the clear glass ones and gathering a square of the organza ribbon around it. Add a dangling piece of jewerly or whaever to the bottom. Hope this makes sense.

Here is a tute for ribbon angels. They would look nice on a wreath as well as an ornament. It might be nice to make something more unusual as well, but I'm not sure what that would be!

how about trees?

I like these Christmas trees, tho I would prefer a star to a bow at the top.
