Hi! Missed this post before. Our Relay for Life team (appropriately named the "Yo Yo Sisterhood)makes different things with the fabric yo-yo's to sell. We have made angel pins, bunny pins, flower pins, little earrings, flowers to trim denim vests, baskets, hand towels, small photo albums, votive holders, etc. They are really easy to make - a good thing to do while you are watching TV or something. We are also planning to put together a bed coverlet - one of our gals has made a ton of yo-yo's for that. I'm curious about your idea. Do you mind sharing?

Barb, what great ideas your group has used! I would love to see any/all of the projects.

My idea was to make a Christmas tree out of yo-yos---I don't know yet if I would make it a plain triangle shape or try to give an effect of branches or what. I plan for the truck (brown) and the pot (red) to be solid fabric-not yo-yos. The tree will be decorated with Christmas fabric print yo-hos and a really cute tinsel--you stitch small yo-yos every 6 inches or so on baby sized gold or silver rickrack and put that on the tree-very country looking and cute.

As usual with my craft ideas, this one is working out great in my head but I haven't actually tried to do it yet so we shall see!

I've purchased about everything I need to try the yo-yo tree so I guess now I have to design it!
