| Hi.. I would like to include some tree bark on crafts projects.
Can anyone tell me the bark of which tree would be best for a material that does not fall apart too easily, and also how to be sure there are no insects living in the bark....Don't want anyone to have a suprise! I live in New York and would like to use materials found on my own property. Thanks, Joyce |

| Around here we have shagbark hickory trees. My brother would use the bark to cover wooden birdhouses. Here's a pic of the one he did for me.  |
