question on forum rules

I know there is no advertising allowed on this board. I have a friend who has a craft blog that she makes some money from, she posts some free craft instructions on her blog. Is she allowed to post links to her site & crafts here on this board? She wants to get people to come to her site for the freebies she has so her ad revenues go up.

I don't have the answer for you but would like to suggest you check on the home page of the GW site and see if they have a Q&A page or maybe you can contact the moderators and ask.

We post links to instructions and freebies for other stuff - I don't see what the difference would be. I'm interested, :)

I would imagine that freebies would be allowed ..... but I can't speak for Garden Web. I think it's great that you asked first . I'd suggest trying to post a link to the freebie instructions... and wherever anyone goes from there - is their decision. Good luck :)

I think because she isn't promoting herself it's ok... I post links to many places for inspiration.... I can't control if the links have advertising...
