 o
gray fabric dye

I am trying to restore an old YUGO (yes, a yugo)anyway, the door panel were originally a sprayed on flock type material. They have faded from sun. I tried using a spray on paint but it makes the covering rough enough to skin your knuckles! I can't find any spray on gray fabric paint so I'm thinking of useing a dye and brushing it on. I got some extra panels so it can't get any worse!
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

RE: gray fabric dye

Cuffs, there are brush on fabric paints that might work for you. You can find them at Michael's or Joanne's.

I've never used dyes other than one time in the washing machine--and won't do that again--so can't advise you there.

Good luck with your project, hope it turns out great.
