 o
old rugged cross, need help

I'm new here, and not sure if I am in the right forum, but here goes. I will be attending a mother, daughter banquet at a church in a few weeks. We are to decorate our own tables by choosing a hymn. Ours will be for the "Old rugged cross". I enjoy doing crafts and like to make things myself, so any ideas would be helpful. Thanks..

Hi, I'm new here. I would suggest that you put a wooden cross with a purple silk fabric draped across it, for the center piece. And make a small crown of thorns to hang over it. Then you can copy the hymn and print it on "iron-on" paper and iron on a tablecloth in various places. And go to a Dollar Tree and buy musical notes to place around the table, along with some Easter Lilies. hope some of this helps. Debi

I went to a church thing and someone took grapevines, just the twigs and made crosses, Just made the t and wound red floss cross ways to hold them together and hot glued a magnet on the back as a favor. Mine is still on my frig after many years.
