I have a bunch of old neckties. Has anyone made anything from them? I have heard of Skirts,and purses. I need to get started on next years christmas items. ggks

I don't know if this would be suitable for anyone on your list, but I think it's a clever idea. They have taken an old ladder back chair and used ties to make a seat replacement.

How about cell-phone holders?

I have a bunch that I'm planning to make a crazy quilt out of. I have heard of slipcases for glasses, cigarette packs and tissue packs being made from old ties. You could also make scrunchies, clutch-bags or jewelry bags.

I had several of my dad's necktie's. I made christmas stockings out of muslin and did like a crazy quilt over the muslin with the tie's also adding in pictures of my dad transfered onto the material. they turned out so cute and now each male grandchild and great grandchild has a stocking from their grandpa's ties with pictures of him and of the child together. They really went over big.
