Faster Plaster vs. Other Plasters?

Posted by butterflylion (My Page) on

How does Faster Plaster compare to other plasters? Other than a faster setting time are there any differences? I looked for Faster Plaster today at Michael's and they didn't have any. An employee said that it had been discontinued. They had plaster of paris in a bucket. Hobby Lobby, Joann's, and Walmart didn't have it either. They had different brands in cartons. TIA!

RE: Faster Plaster vs. Other Plasters?

The store employee is correct that Faster Plaster is in the process of being discontinued :( Last year, I had the pleasure to write an ebook on Faster Plaster projects and absolutely love the product so I am very sad to see it go. I do have quite a few 1/2 pound packages in stock in my store at I found Faster Plaster to be easier to work with than regular plaster because it poured smoother, dried faster and is not as heavy which was perfect for my jewelry work - I also have numerous YouTube videos that my sister and I filmed on Faster Plaster - How were you planning on using the Faster Plaster?
