Finger Pin Cushion

I made these about 20 years ago...haven't seen them around for awhile. I found this last one in a drawer today. Thought you might want to make some.

Back then I sold them for $1.00.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Use a pop bottle cap. Burn two small holes in the top. I used an old ice pick. Heated it up and melted the holes.

String the round elastic into the holes, with the two ends sticking up inside the cap. Tie into a knot. Cut a square of fabric, stick a walnut size ball of poly stuffing, into the center of the square of fabric. I used to do a running stitch in a circle so I could gather the fabric into a round , around the stuffing. Then stick the stuffing ball with the rounded top up. Glue with hot melt. Glue trim around the bottom.

They are actually useful. Wear on middle finger and your pins are right where you can find them.

This one is not the cutest...that's probably why it is the only one left...LOL...no one wanted it.

When I first started making them the caps were metal and I had to use a nail and pound it through for the holes...
