Drilling into glass blocks

Posted by gogwmos (My Page) on

How hard is it to drill a 5/8" hole in the bottom of a glass block? Can I use my regular drill or do I need a drill press? Also, what tips do you have while drilling? One thing I heard was to immerse the block in water while drilling but obviously don't let the drill get in the water.

Thanks!
