Silicon for baking

Am I the only one who doesn't bake in silicon bakeware or on silicon sheets? I just think it's weird (as in, what will they discover about it in 10 years?). Please tell me if I'm behind the times and need to get with the program here.

It sure does look easy, but I just don't trust the stuff.
