Kyocera service - impressive!

About three years ago I posted my opinion here of the Kyocera ceramic knives I'd purchased. These are extremely hard, sharp knives that I've found very useful for many tasks. One caveat is that they cannot be user-resharpened...you have to send them in.

Happy to report that I just did that and am astonished at the service provided. For a flat fee of $10.00 for packing/shipping my eight knives were sharpened to absolute new condition and back in my hands within ten days. Included was a "micro-serrated" tomato-knife. Rather than resharpening that, they sent me a brand new one at no charge.

I can't see these as replacements for good steel knives. They're a little too delicate for heavy use. However, for MANY tasks they are without equal and I've enjoyed having them at hand. I am pleased to learn that having them restored to as-new condition was as quick, inexpensive, and easy as it has been.

Thought the experience might be of interest to some here. Below is the PDF form for the service.
