Manual for Old WestBend Slow Cooker?

| Does anyone know where I can get a copy for an old WestBend slow cooker (non-stick, electric, rectangular shape), that's got an electric base unit and then a pan with a glass cover (maybe 3 quart???).
The manufacturer's site has nothing available for this and I can't find it on any web search!
This has been sitting around since I married my husband, and he has no idea where it came from. The outside of the pan is enamel, with a blue flowery deco design - you can tell it's kind of vintage. I guess it still works, but I want to have a manual to refer to if I decide to use it.
There is no model number on this... just some numbers that are hard to read.
Thanks for the help! I LOVE THIS SITE! :o) |

| I don't have the manual but I did have that same slow cooker before we had our house fire. I have purchased two other slow cookers since then and cannot find one I liked as much as that one. I loved starting food on the range and then transferring it to the base. Great slow cooker! |

| sorry to hear about your house fire... well, West Bend finally wrote me back and want $4 for a xerox copy of the manual. But now I'm wondering, I washed it and noticed some scratches in the coating! Should I even use it? If so, in what capacity? Would anyone use it with one of those reynolds bags? And what kind of meal could I concoct? If not, is there a place to recycle teflon products? |
