Kitchenaid Mixer really work for bread?

Posted by asolo (My Page) on

Getting older, I guess. Been making bread around here for 30 years but my elbows and wrists just aren't up to it anymore. The stirring and kneading part just about do me in these days.

Thinking about letting Kitchenaid mixer and dough-hook do the work. Interested in opinions from you folks that understand bread and may have one of these.

My typical batch is 6 - 6 1/2 lbs.

Your best bet is to go ask on the Cooking forum. There are a lot of bread bakers there with endless information on what mixers work with bread making.
