I will soon be in the same position as you, with a new induction cooktop and working to expand my induction-compatible cookware.

You might want to look at Ikea, they have a new line called "senual" or something like that -- it has stainless/aluminum layering like the high priced pots and pans, but not the pricetag.

I'd love to hear about what you decided to purchase. Oh - and there are extensive discussions on this general topic on chowhounds.

Ikea 365 line is good and I also have a lot of Farberware.

How about 10 quarts?

Look for Spring USA cookware, the original made in Switzerland.Brigade is the name of the Spring line. Some of the pans are available at Wasserman supply. Also Ikea and commercial resturant supply houses for larger pots such as Vollraths.

Take a regular magnet with you when you go shopping. If you find a stock pot that the magnet will stick to, you have a pot that will work on the induction cooktop. I got two of the induction burners last year and they came with a very small set of pans and pots, but I was able to get a nice saucepan at Bed Bath and Beyond. I believe Cuisinart has cookware for induction burners.

Do you find any of your pans click or buzz more than others? We have some that are quite loud and we've been taking them back, but don't know if we're just being too fussy.... :)

Check out the house brand at macys.com..it is tools of the trade and it is wonderful on my Bosch induction cooktop. Various pot sizes are offered, low priced, relatively. Get it on one of their frequent sales. Don't pay the non sale price.
