| I bought a microwave rice cooker at a yard sale and it has no instructions.
It is a heavy ceramic cooker with 2 bowls. After looking online I'm finding that some sites say to add water in the bigger bowl before setting in the smaller bowl and locking the lid. Does anyone have one like this and what do you do? |

| Don't have one but have successfully cooked rice in microwave. Start with rice and butter/oil for maybe a minute to 1.5 minutes to toast up a bit. Then add liquid... water or stock. Then 4-5 minutes on high, followed by about 15 minutes on power 2-3. With the standard ratio of 1 c rice to 2 c liquid, it's pretty much fine every time. |
