| I got this cast iron skillet that I was pretty psyched to use on my portable induction burner. I just kind of assumed that even though the skillet is larger than the induction 'burner,' that the heat would distribute across the whole skillet, as I thought iron absorbs heat very well. However, it seems as though it is only heating directly over the burner. Is this normal? |

| Seems normal to me. What is above the burner will be heated by induction. After that it is conduction towards the pan edges. It's not particular to cast iron but to any ferromagnetic pot/pan. |
