I'm looking at Eliz Yarnell's recipies which call for oven temps of 450. Are most glass lids ok with that temp? My cast iron dutch oven has a glass lid. There were no instructions about temps with the pot.

Good looking pot, Bean Counter. You should have no problems with the lid at that temperature. Glass lids are made of tempered glass, designed to withstand temperatures much greater than that.

Ditto gardenlad...no problema.
