cooking timer

This forum was the closest fit I could find...

I'm looking for a special kitchen timer. I'm really sensitive to certain sounds and several that I've tried recently are so shrill and harsh, I can't stand them.

It probably sounds weird to some of you, but I'm looking for something loud enough to hear in the other room, more than a single "ding!", and one I won't be scraping myself off the ceiling after hearing it go off. lol

Got any recommendations for one that might fit the bill?

RE: cooking timer

Can't answer your question directly, but here's a thread from the Cooking Forum about timers. You could also try posting on that forum; it gets more traffic than this one.

Here is a link that might be useful: Cooking Forum Thread about Timers
