Turkish Coffee Ibrik / Briki for Induction

Posted by sshrivastava (My Page) on

I'm trying to locate an ibrik / briki for use on an induction cooktop -- all I can find are copper or brass, neither will work on induction.

Does anyone know?

I've not seen one with magnetic steel. However, you can make Turkish coffee with a small saucepan, if necessary, so any of the induction-ready cookware lines would have something.

As far as I know the original turkish coffee pot (cezve) is copper or brass. If you want to use any other metal you can use any saucepan. I consciously use a saucepan instead of a cezve, since saucepan takes more coffee.
(A small hint: try it with milk)

Sweet Maria's claim to have one.

Here is a link that might be useful: Sweet Maria's
