| I had a set of Calphalon I received as a wedding gift 17 years ago. The finish had worn off, and I bought myself a new set of All Clad. That was before I read on these forums that Calphalon really does honor their lifetime warranty. I returned my pots and pans, and they sent me back beautful new Calphalon One ones, although, not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I returned a fry pan and got a sauce pot in exchange.
So now I have three sauce pots - a 1 1/2qt, a 3qt, and a 4 1/2qt. Is there anything you can do with a sauce pot other than make sauce or rice? I can't think of a thing. Their shapes don't lend themseves to doing double-duty as saute pans or soup pots, and I just don't make enough rice or sauces to warrant three pots dedicated to the task. And I'm a vegetarian, so I won't be searing any meat or fish in them, either. So... I'd love to hear what people find these sauce pots useful for, other than sauce. Thanks - Barbara |
