I suggest sterilizing anything that has gotten moldy with boiling water. The easiest way to do this with a pan is just to put water in the pan and boil the water for 5-10 minutes. I have done this in the past and never had issues.

I took a clean pot and poured javex in it with some water and after about 2 hours there was a broken line of black around the top of the liquid that was a little puffy. I wiped it off with a scratchy pad and added more javex/water up over that line. After an hour or so the black ring was there again so I threw my pot away. Didn't know what else to do. I thought it was mold

Aluminum shines up really nicely with some 0000 or 000 grade steel wool and elbow grease.

I would be cautious about reusing it as it is so very old. I threw away a heavy aluminum roaster that was a great aunt's when I saw pitting begin. Seemed like I had read that that made it unsafe for cooking. Try to research a little more, if possible.
