cuisinart mandoline

Has anyone used this mandoline or seen reviews? (model 89502). Based on discussions on this site and favorable reviews on Amazon I asked for the Borner V-slicer for a gift, but through great confusion was given the Cuisinart instead. It can be returned.

Off-hand two positives that I see versus the Borner are that it's dishwasher safe, and that the slice thickness is knob adjustable (infinite?) as opposed to preset thicknesses with inserts on the Borner. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

It comes with straight and fluted edge, and julienne blades for 1/8, 3/16 and 3/8 thicknesses.

Thanks for any input!
