Thank you for your replies & ideas! I really sort of figured it would take several days to get that 'beachy' look. I've used the tumbler a time or two, with just water and a drop of detergent, ran it about 30 minutes or so, and that did a wonderful job of cleaning up the glass, making it sparkling clean, and took off all the sharp edges, so it was safer to mosaic with. So now I think I will try the just sand method. Sure wish I had access to a cement mixer! By the way, I've never run the tumbler with any rocks in it, so I have no idea what kind of noise that would make, but the glass with water made hardly any sound at all. Thank goodness!

Here you go, Carolyn: Browned Butter Cardamom Cookies-4 dozen 1c Land 'O Lakes butter 3/4c sugar 1 egg yolk 1T vanilla 1/2 tsp cardamom 2c all purpose flour 1-2T milk (if nec. if dough is too dry) 1c powdered sugar Melt butter in a 2 qt heavy saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly until just begins to brown (5-8 minutes). Immediately remove from heat, pour into bowl and refrigerate til cool. Preheat oven to 350°. Combine butter and sugar in a large bowl: beat til well mixed. Add yolk, vanilla, and cardamom. Add flour and beat til dough forms and no longer crumbly, adding milk if necessary. Shape dough into 1" balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. (cookies will have cracks in them). Remove from baking sheets, cool 1 min then roll in powdered sugar and again when cool. Store between sheets of waxed paper in loosely covered container. From: Land 'O Lakes Cookies RL`

LouAna is solid until the ambient temperature gets warm (above 70°F), and then it softens, and eventually liquefies around 76-77°F. That's how you know it wasn't hydrogenated. Depending on the recipe I use coconut oil in, as well as what type of fat I am substituting, I will usually use it in equal amounts (at least the first time I make the recipe), or up to 25% less. "It just depends" isn't a good qualifier, but it just depends.....(lol) After years of using coconut oil as my primary fat for cooking/baking, my experience is what I depend on. I must admit,I love pudding mix, I love cool whip,and I love eggnog,so this was right up my alley. But lindac, I also plan on chasing this with a gallon or so of straight eggnog, so I'll be good. The whipped topping is probably just there to stretch it out,no rule saying you can't just double the pudding and eggnog mix and filling it with that instead!!!!!! I wonder if they make eggnog pudding mix?!?!?!
