so much for posting the recipe for Cold Broccoli Viennese. We made it last night to go with baked halibut. It was so good. It has gone on our rotation. I used a bag of frozen broccoli florettes and roasted them in a 400 oven for about 30-45 minutes then let them get cold. Put the sauce on right before serving, just as you stated. We loved it.

Glad to know this! I always thought it was sort of a weird recipe for broccoli, but it was quite good.

the recipe

COLD BROCCOLI VIENNESE
1 bunch broccoli, cooked until tender. Drain. Chill. Top with sauce when ready to serve. Serves 4-6.

SAUCE:

1 c. sour cream
3 tbsp. onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. celery seed
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. horseradish

Lots of fun things in your package. Teresa sent me some cheese straw that were out of this world. I know you'll enjoy yours. Have you used the mini pans yet? Thank you all for the warm birthday wishes! I've had a good day although it is very hectic at work. My mom and older son came to dinner Sunday night for take-out Chinese. Younger son was at a fishing tournament. Tomorrow I'm leaving for the NC mountains for a long weekend of quilting.
