I did order the small Prestige Pressure pan and received it yesterday but did not have the time to open it until today. I love the looks of it and the size of it.. The thing that bothers me is that I wondered where I would be able to get parts if necessary and much to my dismay, it is made in India Now I am afraid to use it and I wonder what in the heck was I thinking of ordering something made in India. I feel that I need my head examined. Does anybody else have one of these? Thanks for listening to my rant. Barb

I looked on Amazon Canada and you can buy replacement parts. So that shouldn't be a problem for you.

Just because something is made in Indian or China doesn't mean it isn't good quality. I wouldn't be afraid to use it. Give it a try. You might be pleasantly surprised. At least I hope so.

I like the idea of the smaller size. Let me know how it performs.

I'd be so happy to know its sunburn, Jane. Though if it is....what a weak sauce plant!! Lol Sure, it's brighter but not that much brighter. It was constantly open slats vs open shutters...sheesh. But that would make the most sense. I really don't think it was there the day before...and then the next day, this nonsense. Perhaps I should just leave it in the northern room. I moved it into the southern room about a month ago because my family room is quite dark, and it appeared to like it there. Lati, it sure sounds possible, though I haven't seen it since I don't spend all that much time in the living room. With the sun already so much lower, I suppose it could have streamed in about late afternoon. Weak sauce plant, man.

No worries everyone, I am not watering on any schedule. I don't do that to any of my plants. Just let my excitement get the better of me lol! I may amend the mix later on to just pure pumice. I like grit, but it makes the pot too heavy. Thanks Robin, glad they look healthy to you and others. Pagan: regardless, you've got nice ones! The one on the left looks like it has a dent too. I don't have much cacti either and I've got a phobia of needles so no stab-ey ones for me! Perhaps you might like spineless prickly pear? I don't think those are suitable for indoor growing though. tephrocactus articulatus inermis doesn't have spikes, and Mammarila Plumosa feels like feathers.... :)

Elizabeth, that's so cool you have some echie sprouts growing! I mean, I got pretty excited a few years ago when I sprouted some lettuce successfully, but some echeveria seeds? You must be chuffed as chips! Do you have plans for the multiples you grow? I also read echeveria seeds germinate at around 68 -70 degrees. Maybe that's ideal but a little higher of temps can work? Perhaps it's a trade off of faster germination rates but lower overall germination? Some experiments need to be done. I volunteer. Lol I havent planted mine yet. =/ Got a few more touches on the foam swamp cooler I made with my guy that involve soldering and I'm waiting on all of that from Amazon. This weekend though! Start of his vacation week, sowing lots of seeds, second grow box for the 90 degree lithop germination, and installing succulent shelves! Good luck on the lighting! It's a confusing topic, but a simple T5 or T8 fixture and a metal storage rack, like the kind they use in kitchens, should be a good place to start!

I would repaint in matte, in white that is the color of the door. Nowdays, even good matte paint can be wiped clean, so that isn't an issue. You need a much larger light fixture. If it's in the budget, I would also install a nice cabinet with sink. The current pedestal doesn't work size wise visually. For the rest of the walls, find some art that you like to hang. And since this is a powder room, you really don't have to worry about moisture. Plenty of beautiful powder rooms with gorgeous wallpapers, that normally wouldn't work in more moist master bath environments.

I don't know, the cuisine of India relies heavily on pressure cooking. I'd feel pretty good about it when it's a way of life there.

It's contaminated materials used in the production of some items from third world (and first world) countries that you might be concerned about more than whether it works or where to get parts. Don't google radioactive material in stainless steel from India if you don't want to scare yourself. Other contaminants have been things like foreign metals not usually found in stainless or bits that peel off and get into food or in cars make it rust out sooner.
