Menu from the fridge and pantrty

Had lots of fun today making a menu for a dinner party from, as much as possible, items on hand.

We are leaving next week for three months and I wanted to use up as much as I could from cupboards, fridge and freezer. It's a fun thing to do. Makes you be creative while dealing with stuff that needs dealing with.

Menu ( for 10 ) it's rather eclectic but ......

Appetizers....

Escargot in bread cups

Cheese spread made from all the leftover cheeses I had on hand

Prosciutto cups filled with chopped apples and cheddar cheese

May try and deal in some of the 8 tins of smoked oysters I have on hand!!

Dinner......

Baked Shrimp Scampi

Lasagna

Caesar Salad with homemade croutons and bacon

Garlic Bread with cheese ....and without

Dessert

Chocolate Pate with Raspberry Coulis

The only thing I had to buy was the lettuce for the salad!!!!
