Rice for sushi? Johnliu, help!

Had a great time making sushi a couple of months ago. Great combos, looked great, tasted just ok because the rice wasn't right. I used sushi rice and followed a recipe for sushi rice, but it was off. The texture wasn't great either. Too wet and a bit of a crunch. I want to make sushi again, but only if I can get the rice right. I've learned that sushi is only as good as the rice.

Any hints? Techniques? Thanks.
