I need to know which of these casseroles will hold oven heat the longest - glass (Pyrex) or anodized aluminum (Calphalon). I need to take a hot dish for one of my club's Christmas parties and I'm thinking of the best way to keep it warm until I get there. TIA.

Well I vote for the glass casserole. I've made stuff and wrapped the baking dish in a big towel and put the whole thing in a cardboard box for easy carrying and it worked pretty good. Seems to me aluminum would lose the heat faster than glass. Joann

True.....aluminum is a conductor of heat....it gets hot fast and cools fast.
