Until Sunday, Williams Sonoma is selling the All-Clad Slow Cooker for $225 which is $175 off their regular price. Use code SAVENOW.

Hmm. I think I'll hang onto my 25 year old Rival crock pot at that price. Even on sale.

It is kind of cool that you can set the insert directly on burners for browning or reduction, or in the oven for a bit of broiling. And the machine is a lot prettier than a quarter-century old Rival. Whether it will still be pretty - or even working - in 25 years, I don't know.

I agree with both of you. It would be cool to have, but I think I'll keep my money and use my 15 year old Hamilton Beach gigundo slow cooker for the 2 or 3 times a year that I need something like that.

Just thought I would let those who are pining for one of these know they are on sale.

It is very pretty and seems to have many more ways to use it than my ancient Rival. 25 years ago it would have been a more practical purchase. :) Still EXPENSIVE!

I just ordered it, and if you order something small to get the order over $250.00, you get even more off, a 20% discount. I ordered a small grater, and ended up getting the cooker for $199.96

Wow, now THAT'S what I call a slow cooker.....

Nope, not for me either, but it's sure pretty. Everyone wants something different, I think. If I'm going to blow $200 on a kitchen item, I'm getting an All American pressure canner. Yeah. Then I'm going to have to use it as a kitchen chair because I sure don't have anywhere to put it. (grin)
