Cheap AP Flour

lov2garden

Trying to economize, I bought the cheapest all purpose flour at Walmart to bake cookies with. I've always used Gold Medal or Pillsbury in the past.

One thing I noticed immediately is that it didn't seem "pre-sifted" to me and was lumpier. I sifted it and then it seemed fine. I'm going to go ahead and try baking with it today anyway.

But in the equation of time vs money, I'm thinking this cheap flour is a loser for my purposes. I don't want to have to sift 30 pounds of flour!
