White whole wheat flour vs. reg. whole wheat

I want to make a King Arthur Flour bagel recipe that calls for white whole wheat flour. I don't have any and want to use regular whole wheat. Is there any difference other than color of bagels and perhaps slight taste difference. That is, will reg WW affect the recipe in terms of making it?
