I need a tip.

I have another question and thought I had better put it in an additional post. I have to watch my sodium and am constantly watching the sodium count in stuff. One thing that I get hungry for and have not found a recipe for is a recipe for gravy to put on mashed potatoes or baked potatoes. I figured the best way to start it would be with the cornstarch, but what could I add for flavor that would not have too much sodium. i have looked in my salt=free cookbook but don't find a recipe for gravy--only the sauces.Would appreciate any ideas you have. This is not an everyday thing in my diet but I am just hungry for some--especially with Thanksgiving hovering on the horizon. Barb
